The UQLS is led by the President, who works closely with the Deputy President, Secretary and Treasurer (known collectively as the ‘T4’) to coordinate the Association. Beneath them are ten Vice-Presidents, whom each look after a different portfolio. The T4 and Vice-Presidents make up the Management Committee of the Association. The Management Committee is the central decision-making body of the Association, analogous to the board of a company.
Each Vice-President is charged with the direction of their portfolio. Most UQLS activities fall within one of the ten portfolios. Each portfolio also contains a number of officers, who help organise the events and services of their portfolio.
Further supporting certain portfolios are subcommittees that assist the portfolio generally or have specific responsibilities related to that portfolio.
