DLA Piper Running Club – Semester 1 Recap
.
As we approach the cold and dreary milestone that is the halfway point of the year, the DLA Piper Running Club takes a breather while we all rejuvenate our muscles and joints after 13 weeks of hard-slog. This semester we have seen our incredible runners weather the weather – rain or shine, srizzle or
drizzle. The Dean surprised us all with his unrelenting strength and endurance, donned in his legendary moon-shielding cap.
Next Semester, a group of the fittest and most attractive athletes in the Law school will be competing against running alongside DLA Piper’s squad in the Annual Bridge to Brisbane 10 km race. In less than 66 days, our runners will begin their expedition on the southern summit of the Gateway Bridge (or rather – the Sir Leo Lielscher Bridge) and will redefine the meanings of courage, determination and exhaustion by the time they reach the finish line at the RNA Showgrounds.
Training will officially reconvene after the break and all Running Club notifications will be going through our private group which can be accessed right – HERE.
Hope everyone has an awesome holiday!
Love,
Shannon and Akash
