Women in the Legal Profession Recap

Our recent event, Women in the Legal Profession, provided students with the opportunity to hear how the issues associated with gender equality are dealt with in practice. Attendees gained valuable insight from industry professionals regarding the level equal opportunity and issues pertinent to women. The UQLS is very fortunate to have attracted such a high caliber and range of female presenters including a criminal and family law barrister, a barrister for legal aid and the Queensland practise director / partner at Allens.

The Equity team looks forward to providing more opportunities for students to engage with members of the profession on important social and wellbeing issues next semester!
