King & Wood Mallesons Bands Night

King & Wood Mallesons Bands Night embodied everything our iconic history of rock and roll has to offer. After an intense bout of mid-semester assessment; friends and groupies gathered to kick back, relax and enjoy the musical talent the T.C. Beirne School of Law has to offer. The scene was perfected by the passionate ambience of The Royal Exchange as local bands started warming up to compete for glory. Glory being in the form of four very alluring UQ Law Society Ball Tickets – only the hottest Ball of the year.

The stakes were high (possibly the bands), the energy palpable and the battle began. The audience were in good spirits, spurred on by the extraordinary talent displayed by all performers. The music flowed hard and fast from RnB, Pop to old fashioned power ballads of Rock n Roll. A huge congratulations to all those that participated and to the organisers for a very successful night. Sadly, in the words of some unknown Rock n Roll Legend and from life itself, “There can only be [one] winner”. The judges after much deliberation, inebriation and elation settled on Kant the Philosopher! Congratulations to band members Josh White, Chris White, Gabe and Alex Elliot.

We look forward to hearing you perform at UQ Law Society Ball this weekend! The event frivolity continued well into the night as performers and groupies mingled and celebrated that sweet sweet music of life. Rock On!
